Cavaliers Sign all this years draft picks. Including my boy from my neck of the woods with number 1 overall pick

Cavs sign top pick Bennett to contract

Posted on Aug 20 via The Associated Press

CLEVELAND (AP) The Cavaliers have signed Anthony Bennett, the No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft, to his guaranteed rookie contract.

Financial terms were not immediately known, but the deal can be worth up to $22.8 million over four years.

Bennett was somewhat of a surprising selection by the Cavaliers, who believe the 6-foot-8, 240-pounder from UNLV can play power forward. He's recovering from shoulder surgery, but the Toronto native is expected to be ready for the start of training camp. He averaged 16.1 points and 8.1 rebounds as a freshman with the Runnin' Rebels.

The Cavs also said they have finalized their deals with first-round pick Sergey Karasev, a guard from Russia, and second-round selection Carrick Felix from Arizona State.

Karasev helped lead Russia to the gold medal in the World University Game this summer.

Anthony Bennett - was the player that I thought the Cavs should've taken if not Otto Porter Jr.  BENNETT IS NBA SIZE AND CAN STRETCH THE FLOOR. WATCHING HIM ALL THE TIME AT UNLV IN MY HOMETOWN OF VEGAS I KNOW HIS GAME. IN THIS LAST DRAFT I THOUGHT HE WAS A RISKY PICK #1, BUT I LIKE IT THEY CHOSE WHO WAS BEST PERIOD FOR THEM. WATCH OUT FOR MY BOY
Sergey Karasev
Laugh now just like you all did when I got so much hate mail the day Howard went to the Lakers and I instantly said bet against them.  So bring on all the hate mail and who the hell is he comments. Cause hate to break it to you Lakers fans but I was RIGHT not only did I tell you that the lakers would be one of the best ever first half of the season teams to bet against.  At the same time as they were co favorites with Miami to win it all I told you that if you made the playoffs they would be lucky. I promised at the beginning of last years basketball season if the Lakers made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs I would quit my job as a handicapper my dream job that came with 17 yrs of nonstop learning and getting better each day. So don't be surprised if you start seeing
Sergey Karasev's name in the near future him and Kyrie with Bennett and everyone else with young talent and my favorite coach coming back....CLEVELAND FANS THIS YEAR WE WILL MAKE A PUSH TO THE PLAYOFFS AND I TRULY BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE GOOD ENOUGH TO BE A 6TH TO 8 SEED. NOT DELISONAL OR BEING A HOMER SPEAKING TRUTH.
