Former Oregon Ducks standout and Medford native joins Trail Blazers

PORTLAND, Ore. (August 28, 2013) – The Portland Trail Blazers have signed forward E.J. Singler, it was announced today by General Manager Neil Olshey.

Singler, 23, played four seasons at the University of Oregon, where he averaged 10.9 points (44.7% FG, 37.3% 3-PT, 84.8% FT), 5.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.77 steals and 29.3 minutes in 142 games.

An All-Pac-12 First Team performer as a senior in 2012-13, Singler averaged 11.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, and career highs in assists (2.8) and minutes (31.0) en route to the Ducks’ first Sweet 16 appearance in the NCAA Tournament since 2007. The Medford, Ore., native finished his career at Oregon ranked first in school history in wins (89), sixth in free throw percentage (84.8%) and 11th in scoring (1,546).

With the addition of Singler (6-6, 215), the Trail Blazers roster stands at 18 players.
